Iris allows on line changes, during runtime. So for instance Data Logging and Trending are not interrupted during changes in screens or in the Tag Database. But also Trending, SQL database, Reporting, etc..., can be changed on line. This is particularly useful in Client / Server mode. This feature allows SCADA changes and HMI panel changes while the installation keeps running, from a single engineering station. Using Iris Panelware also keeps the cost down by using a single development platform.
