The Configuration Editor of Iris gives a very clear overview of all components. The editor has a tree structure where all tags and drivers can be configured as well as the alarm groups. The table view gives you sort and filtering functions, and a clear presentation of all tag parameters. Tags that belong to a certain group can easily be found and adaptations can easily be made. Using the copy and paste functions, tags or groups can be duplicated remembering all the parameter settings. In detailed view, each property can be manipulated, and all irrelevant properties can be disabled. The Tag Database is in XML format and can be imported and exported in XML and comma delimited formats, useful for automatic application generation. The Tag Database can entirely be edited on line.
